The centers of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) have recorded 40 physical assaults in the first nine months of this year, adding to the last violent episode recorded last Sunday at the health center Pino Montano B, where six people were attacked by four individuals who went to the ER. Three of the victims, SAS professionals, needed assistance Traumotologia Hospital by the heavy blows they received and, at present, are favorably recovered from injuries, but suffer problems of anxiety and stress for what happened.
SAS workers in all health centers in the city held yesterday concentrations condemning violence in the consultations and showed their solidarity with the attacked. The Ministry of Health was in full support to the point of ER professionals in Pine Montanto and announced that witnessing at the cause. In addition, the holder Andalusian Health, María José Sánchez, stressed that reinforcement of all the measures included in the plan to avoid these situations.
At the time of the incident, around seven in the evening on Sunday, the ER of Pino Montano did not have the presence of a security guard. The problems began with the arrival of a patient who had symptoms of alcohol poisoning, accompanied by three people to the point of emergency. Coming from Roma Empty and these individuals reacted very violently when the professionals asked the relatives to leave the room and stay in the waiting room. At that time the patient companions and began to attack with great violence to the professionals and smashed furniture. After the attack the health center was closed preemptively and, according to witnesses, relatives of the attackers remained outside carrying knives.
The Medical Association of Seville, next to other plants as SATs and CSIF, yesterday demanded more security in this health center where there have been three physical assaults in just six months. ‘We condemn these acts and demand that the perpetrators are not immune,’ said Reyes Zabala spokesman SATs. The Medical Union kept calling ‘active security measures truly ensure that this does not happen again.’ These cases of violence are often classified as crimes of offense against authority so that beyond a failure, the authors receive prison sentences.

Chiron Group to Invest 46 Million in Hospital in the West
If there were doubts that Cordoba is a magnet for private healthcare Chiron Group, with hospitals in eleven regions, has a strong project to settle in Cordoba. The planned investment is strong 46 million euros and will also have Municipal Planning Thursday activates the administrative process for the firm to build a 100-room hospital in West, just down the Airport Avenue, approximately 400 meters from the Reina Sofia. The parcel area reaches 19,000 square meters and it will raise a building of four floors and a basement that will add 16,100 meters square and will be completed with space for 200 parking spaces.
The decision taken by the management this week is a mere formality. As the floor of the extension of Souk district in which Chiron wants to make hospital is owned by the municipality and is listed as suitable for medical equipment, the first step of the technical mechanism that would yield Consistory that management becomes aware of the project and, in a phase that will begin shortly, to open a specification for the grant of that land to a company that wants to make a hospital in it. In addition to Chiron, which is who has driven the administrative procedure to submit their plans to the Management may choose to use that land other than healthcare companies. The logic is that Chiron is the beneficiary of the grant.
The group's plans are ambitious. The investment of 39 million euros in civil engineering and seven medical teams will go to set up a hospital that only in its first year of operation, there is no by the time an estimate of how long the work will have 253 workers. The model will be increased in the first years of operation of the hospital, so you get to 584 in its fifth year. Most physicians are employees (189), followed by assistants (181), nurses (112), technicians (43), managers (39) and guards (20).
What will be provided in the hospital’s medical specialties by Chiron? Almost all of the medical services will be provided as per the catalog; the catalog is listed with 38 health centers, from cardiology to psychiatry through Assisted Reproduction and Urology. The enclosure will have six operating rooms, two of them ambulatory, three delivery rooms, three rooms expansion, a hemodynamic, two endoscopy, five beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for adults, eight for infants along with an emergency room for adults and the pediatric patients. The site is complete with a surgical day care and other cancers besides with 60 queries, an analytical laboratory, another of Pathology and one of Assisted Reproduction.
Plans for Chiron handled Cordoba building located in the first of the four floors of exhibition include the emergency department, the outpatient, chapel, hall, catering services and cafeteria. On the first floor, the located are the Day Hospital, Neonatal, Critical and Surgical and Obstetrics blocks. The second floor is reserved for communication facilities and logistics while on the third and fourth floor, there are 50 rooms on each. The basement will be used to host the laboratories, kitchens and access of goods.
Chiron has, after the merger with USP Hospitals with the largest medical staff in the sector with 6,500 physicians. It is the first private group of Spain in number of patients and healthcare area (411,500 meters square). The company operates in 45 facilities, including general hospitals in twenty towns.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

SOX2 Protein That Resists Treatment Of Breast Cancer
A study in the Basque Country shows that SOX2 protein makes the tumor more aggressive in recurrence.
A study led by researcher Mary Vivanco, Basque center CIC bioGUNE bioscience research has revealed that SOX2 protein resists the treatment of breast cancer and causes the tumor to return and become ‘more aggressive and invasive’ than the first.
Research shows that SOX2 protein ‘fosters whole rebellion against cancer endocrine therapy to desensitize tumor cells compared to hormone treatment,’ says CIC bioGUNE in a statement.
Recently published in the journal EMBO Molecular Medicine, the study was carried out by the Basque research center involving Galdakao (Bizkaia) and Preteimagen clinic.
Breast cancer is the most common among women, and though it has a high cure rate-around 80 percent can have very serious effects.
The majority of cases of breast cancer mortality is caused by so-called recurrence, namely malignant tumor recurrence after a shorter or longer period of freedom from disease.
In severe cases, when the tumor recurs, it is resistant to treatment and has higher invasive capacity and is more aggressive than the previous tumor, so it is a serious clinical problem, adds the note.
The study explains how some tumors revive, despite having been treated and even ‘become more aggressive and invasive’, and concludes that SOX2 protein helps keep these cancer stem cells.
According to research, the protein has ‘double effect of making cells more resistant to the treatment and to facilitate the survival of cells that originate recurrence’.
‘This makes SOX2 protein a potential biomarker for resistance to treatment. Its concentration in a tumor could warn the danger of this,’ she adds.
According to María Vivanco, this finding ‘may provide a novel strategy to address breast cancer resistant to hormone therapy’ through drugs such as tamoxifen, which is used in the vast majority of cases.
Vivanco is specialized in breast cancer research and has participated in other studies such as the one published in 2012 in the journal ‘Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences’ (PNAS) which explained how protein HOXB9 helped cancer cells radiotherapy survive.

The Sauce Contains Substances That Prevents Cancer & Cardiovascular Disease
The union of food usually forms a sauce added with biohealthy compounds each having separately.
Scientists Biomedical Research Center in Red-Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBERobn) and the University of Barcelona have confirmed that the sauce with olive oil, onion, garlic and tomato increases the amount of polyphenols and carotenoids, the antioxidants that can help prevent cancer and cardiovascular disease.
In the research, the data published in the journal 'Food Chemistry', we used a mass spectrometry technique to analyze high resolution 10 types of commercial sofritos, although the authors claim to be extrapolated to the landlord.
Thus, the results revealed the presence of at least 40 types of polyphenols as well as carotenoids and vitamin C, relevant data and various studies have shown that the intake of carotenoids, such as lycopene prevents prostate cancer, and consumption of foods rich in beta-carotene, and helps reduce the incidence of lung cancer.
Specifically, explained to SINC María Rosa Lamuela researcher, author of the study, they found that in a daily intake of 120 grams of sauce, the total polyphenol intake was 16-24 milligrams per serving and 6-10 milligrams in the case of carotenoids.
The union of food that usually forms a sauce added biosaludable compounds each having separately. Therefore, with respect to oil, the scientists recommend using virgin olive better than sunflower.
In fact, they are now looking for the ideal ratio of four ingredients, and it seems that the presence of a 10 percent extra virgin olive oil offers very good results in the properties of the sauce.
The researchers also performed a statistical analysis to the levels of phenolic compounds and carotenoids found in each sauce, which has allowed them to identify markers that differentiate each brand components.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

Ninth Edition of Career Women of Barcelona Raises 50,000 Euros for Cancer
The ninth edition of Career Women of Barcelona, which was held on Sunday with 20,000 participants with dorsal, has raised 50,000 euros to be allocated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).
As explained by the organization, told Europa Press, the winner of the race was Txell Calduch, who completed the 6.7-kilometer route starting and finishing on Avenida Maria Cristina in a time of 23 minutes and 40 seconds.
This year's edition has broken her record of involvement with the sale of 20,000 lats – the limit is marked by security - which sold out in a few days, and has exceeded 15,000 participants in 2012.
The AECC-Catalunya Barcelona Against Cancer has supported those affected at an information tent installed in the Fonts de Montjuic, where you were able to buy some glass roses forming part of the campaign 'a l'AECC Suma't, sum 't to pink' breast cancer.
Annually the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)-Catalunya organized this race in order to ‘sensitize Catalan society’ to the higher incidence of malignancy among women.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

A Contraceptive Vaginal Ring Prevents HIV Infection
A new intravaginal ring, presented at the Annual Meeting and Exposition of 2013 from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) has contraceptive effects, but also protects against infection of HIV and herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2 ). This new system, called, multi-prevention, says Meredith Clark of the School of Medicine West Virginia University in the US can remain in the vagina for up to 90 days and releases the contraceptive levonorgestrel and tenofovir , an antiretroviral which inhibits the replication of HIV and HSV.
The researchers analyzed the effects of the drug release in vitro and pharmacokinetic studies performed of the ring for three months in rabbits and sheep and compared with drug levels observed when tenofovir gel used.
The results found that tenofovir levels in the target tissue administered by the vaginal ring were similar or superior to those obtained after the application of tenofovir gel, a product that has been proven effective in preventing HIV and HSV infections women.
After the trial data, the researchers plan to begin in 2014 in phase I clinical trials in women, in which you can test the combination of drug ring and ring with only tenofovir. Tenofovir is the first microbicide proven to be effective in humans, as evidenced by the CAPRISA 004 trial, in which women using the gel before and after sex were reduced in HIV risk between 39 and 54 percent. This work also showed that the gel is 51% effective in reducing the transmission of herpes virus 2, so that this potentially provides a triple ring protection.
‘The ring TFV/LNG is the first device that is offered as both a contraceptive and preventive against HIV and HSV,’ says Clark, who recalls that the only tenofovir microbicide that has been proven effective in reducing HIV infections when used topically. So she says, ‘it is important to develop a variety of delivery mechanisms tenofovir in order to meet the different needs of women.’
The expert further states that products work only when used. ‘By having a ring that can remain in the body for up to 90 days, our hope is to offer a solution to increase adherence, therefore, provides greater protection against HIV while preventing pregnancy’, says the director of CONRAD Product Development, David Friend.
According to the World Health Organization, there are 35.3 million people living with HIV worldwide with an estimated 87 million unwanted pregnancies. Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

Need to Prioritize Resources on the Causes, and not the Consequences in ADHD
‘The crisis should lead to good resources and prioritize attention. Sometimes it serves flares before the cause of the fire’, said Urcelay in a ceremony which was also attended by professor of psychiatry at the University of New York, Dr. Luis Rojas Marcos, the president of the Spanish Federation of Associations of Help ADHD, Fulgencio Madrid and the head of child psychiatry at the University Hospital of Navarra, Dr. César Soutullo.
ADHD is very important in Spain and needs to be diagnosed it early, since according Soutullo ‘77% of the cause of the disorder is genetic,’ where he added that if a child has this disorder, it is not at all the fault of the family.
The report, which has involved ‘more than 225 experts, we have conducted a survey of 800 people, 7 tables 190 specialists and expert interviews,’ as clarified Urcelay, has been described as ‘the best I have read in years on this issue’, assured Dr. Rojas Marcos.
‘This report is the conclusion of three years of work. A pioneer in the world because for the first time, it brings together a team of experts and specialists in the areas in which ADHD impacts, from the family to the world of education and health’, added European Vice President Shire.
Soutullo has clarified that one of the biggest problems being facing is its great ignorance of ADHD. ‘There is a delay in diagnosis because little is known yet about ADHD. Problem is attributed to a child's family, but not a brain problem,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Madrid has also pointed out that the important thing is that the company is aware of the fact that this disorder will affect many people in Spain. ‘What we consider important is that we must raise awareness in society in general, but the study shows that the level of knowledge has improved.’
Still, it welcomed to see that first attempts to address from a common position on this problem. For the first time, all together try to give suggestions for improvement and we thought it was a very important issue. Everything is slow in the diagnosis and makes it worse to deal with.
‘In Spain, there are many difficulties in the caring, that is, when a teacher or pediatrician detects that a child may have symptoms of ADHD, finds it difficult to identify to which professional should go, this should improve,’ said Soutullo on issues more problematic when solving diagnostics.
‘They can threaten self-esteem of these children because they think they are to blame for what happens to them and that can lead to problems later in adulthood,’ stated Rojas Marcos.
Soutullo, meanwhile, clarified that it is important to continually monitor. ‘A good way to avoid abandonment is to continuously monitor the disease and make frequent visits.
‘Once the diagnosis is clear - to be done by experts - the school system must create a series of accommodations, the right to have some adjustments which are of two types: the time needed to complete the tests and space with the lower potential stimuli,’ said Dr. Rojas Marcos, which concluded this point by saying that ADHD’ is everyone's job, school system, the family and society in general.’
On how she tries to tailor solutions in the normal life of children, Soutullo, clarified what is done in some classes. ‘In some regions, there are protocols that include specific educational modifications, such as giving different sheets or more time to complete the same test as the rest,’ she assured.
Madrid wanted to point out that some families are suffering to pay for treatments of ADHD. ‘The families are bearing a cost of ADHD that makes many not to have access to diagnosis and following treatment.’
‘The vocation of the plan is to generate data in our own population. The cost is 6,200 euros annual per year for children who do not respond and 3,900 euros for a child who does respond. Such a difference is what we might try to reduce because one of the factors a major response to treatment is not delayed diagnosis.
In Spain, there are no resources for specific disorders. Expenses in the CCAA, we can not distinguish between what is spent for ADHD’ clarified Madrid, who added that the price of medication is a big concern because ‘there are families who are leaving treatment.’
Urcelay has also stated that at this time, there are two ongoing studies, one on the economic impact of this treatment on families and the other is about the impact of ADHD on school failure to see what correlation exists between the suffering of this disorder and school failure, and the second is on the impact of ADHD in Spanish families affected,’ he concluded.
In another issue that has been addressed in the report, Soutullo indicated that a major problem is that adults affected by this problem do not think it is anything serious.
‘In adults, they sometimes think it is not a problem. Couple must involve the patient because it does not recognize it, then this can lead to alcohol and drug disorders,’ said the chief of child psychiatry at the University Hospital of Navarra.
A proper monitoring and compliance in childhood can prevent serious problems in adulthood, as also discussed Soutullo ‘When you put a correct treatment in a child, then that work is not continued in the adolescent. This is a problem when going to adulthood because even in adults, it is a disorder that is not recognized’.
‘We must see if the disorder in adults continues to cause difficulties. The presence of symptoms that do not cause difficulties would not be enough to make diagnosis. The symptoms must seek to have an impact,’ concluded Soutullo.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/
Medical Professionals Come Together To Demand More Security
The brutal assault on last Sunday on five medical professionals and a patient at the health center Pino Montano B, by some members of a gypsy clan, led yesterday that mobilized the collective action to demand strong safety. The concentrations were convened at the gates of all health centers of Seville in order to condemn the actions, which resulted in the transfer to the hospital of a doctor, a nurse and a patient.
The Medical Association warned that the group is developing their professional work in a situation of risk and that the Ministry of Health promised in writing incorporating a security guard and ‘five months later has not been met.’ Therefore, the center's professionals signed a letter to the director of the Sanitary District of Seville, which demanded the presence of a security guard at all times.
The attack on Sunday is the third to be recorded in the center so far this year. Another similar incident occurred last May, when a doctor urgently needed for maxillofacial surgery after broken nose as a result of a beating. In this sense, the CSIF union warned that the protocol adopted by the Sanitary District ‘is insufficient, repeatedly flouted the law on prevention of occupational hazards.’
As for the measures included in the protocol, the panel believes that they are only a ‘momentary patch’ and that ‘they do not solve the serious situation faced by healthcare workers caring emergencies.’
For its part, the provincial secretary of the union of nursing SATs, Reyes Zabala, encouraged practitioners to denounce and urged the Administration to increase security measures, because ‘in recent years, there have been many attacks.’
Faced with such support, the Board responded quickly, announcing that witnessing at the cause. The Minister of Health, María José Sánchez Rubio, recognized the work of these professionals and stressed that the department is and will be ‘absolutely adamant’ against such situations. She also recalled that the Ministry has a Prevention and Response Plan, highlighting legal assistance to victims. However, it did not rule on the need to incorporate a guard to center. The Mayor of Sevilla, Juan Ignacio Zoido urged to take necessary steps to prevent the recurrence of events like this.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

Fear of Eurovegas Health Open Season on Smoking Ban
Doctors, nurses and unions unite against the possibility that the standard miscarrying, which has prevented deaths, heart attacks and hospital admissions.
Health professionals fear the possible authorization of open Eurovegas smoking ban and start consuming snuff in other venues, especially hotels. Opponents of the smoking ban change to meet the tycoon Sheldon Adelson who ahs joined in a block which represents colleges of physicians, nurses, dentists, psychologists and pharmacists, scientific societies, consumers and political parties.
‘What legitimacy is to enforce the law in the tavern of Uncle Pepe to not smoke there if you can smoke Eurovegas? Why not Torrelodones casino?’, Denounced the president of the Medical College Organization, Juan José Rodríguez Sendín.
If you change the law and allow smoking in public places, such as the case of mega-casino that projects up in Alcorcón (Madrid), the law would remove ‘a lot of moral strength.’ What you think is responsible for the WTO, outraged that the Madrid agrees to allow access of minors to the entertainment areas of gaming venues. ‘It would be terrific,’ said Sendín, whom the mere possibility of that happening seemed ‘tremendous’ for the ‘mental health’ of the population. The group of organizations Adelson project abomination born with many accessions, but with the absence of PP, the Ministry of Health and the CEOE. The group of signatories of manifesto associations has joined the PSOE, IU, UPyD, plus the UGT and CCOO, among others.
Opponents of the initiative, blessed by the Government of the Community of Madrid, stressed that it is not necessary to change the law to create jobs, and less ally with economic interests that seeks to 'commodify' health.
‘Someone came out to tell us what we have to do, I find it regrettable and indecent,’ said Sendín. Equally emphatic was the president of the National Committee for Smoking Prevention (NPTC), Francisco Rodriguez Lozano, who noted that 82% of Spanish reject the assumption of being able to smoke in casinos.
The members of this newborn platform as a step behind a possible exception to the rule made as the American businessman. They argue that the rule was beginning to bear fruit, which has resulted in a 40% reduction in hospital admissions for heart attacks and sale of packs. In addition, smoking prevalence decreased from 26.2% of the population over 15 years in 2006 to 23.95% in 2012.
With pressures by successful tycoons, the Spanish model of smoke-free stop will be a worldwide reference. So far it has been inspired by Chile, Hungary, Bulgaria and Brazil to pass similar legislation.
The organizations that have signed a conclusion after holding a day of debate on 'Eurovegas and Snuff Law', deplore the evil arts of the tobacco industry. The president of the Spanish Society of Public Health and Health Administration (SESPAS), Ildefonso Hernandez, argued that manufacturers never show their faces and take refuge in smoking clubs to open cracks in the legislation.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

Sick Office Syndrome Affects 50% of Those Working at Computers
50 percent of the people who work in an office presents related postural problems called ‘Sick Office Syndrome’, as highlighted by the professor and director of IMF Business School, Carlos Martinez, reported the Institute Biomechanics of Valencia in a statement. Martinez emphasizes how important it is ‘to have an ergonomic environment at work, reviewing air conditioners, sit in a proper posture, avoiding prolonged contact with computer screens or lack of sunlight.’
The IBV indicated that headaches, conjunctivitis, skin problems or lack of concentration are some of the symptoms of ‘Sick Office Syndrome’, ‘a disorder that affects thousands of office workers and is the result of the large number of hours passed in front of computers or office environments. ‘The Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia added that one of its studies show that up to 65 percent of these affected the discomfort associated to office furniture, chair, table height and computers.
It has also been indicated that as reported in the latest report on occupational health of the World Health Organization (WHO) most affected body parts include chest, back and sides, followed by lumbar region. In this vein, he added that the ailments typical of poor posture in the workplace can cause various health problems and commented that this phenomenon coupled with the lack of contact with sunlight or excessive number of hours before computer screens can generate Sick Office Syndrome.
It was also pointed out that the problem of these disorders, according to the Society for the Prevention of Accidents Mutual and Occupational Diseases Social Security is ‘not usually come forward immediately, so that they appear at some time after going to suffer overexposure to awkward postures such as sitting incorrectly, spend too much time sitting at the computer and within an office or contact the lack of sunlight. ‘This, he explained, of ‘everyday work situations that can cause eyestrain, lower back pain, poor circulation in legs or discomfort in neck.’
The increase of these diseases is causing 25 percent of absenteeism due to muscle problems derived from this syndrome, according to the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work.Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/

A Ray Of Hope In Treating Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is almost an unknown disease for new generations of the developed countries since the disease is relegated to the poorest areas of our planet. However, despite the progress that has been made in preventing, still present in countries like ours where there are more than 5,000 cases each year are registered, according to the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (Separ). Its poor visibility is responsible for the lack of investment in research and 90 years have passed until it has given new hope. Its name has achieved MTBVAC and to Dr. Carlos Martín, Mycobacterial group at the University of Zaragoza, after ten years trying to isolate bacteria of human origin. A global milestone in the search for preventive treatment for this condition is being searched because all vaccines in the investigation are of animal origin. ‘We are facing a serious problem being solved,’ he said during Carmen Vela, Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation.
The hope in Spain is the only alternative to widespread vaccine worldwide, BCG, of bovine origin. Find the antidote to prevent the oral transmission where the disease is mainly found, "is the main mission of this vaccine that has just concluded its Phase I’ explained Martin. 36 volunteers participated in the study that began in January 2013 at the University Hospital of Vaud in Switzerland and has funding of European funds and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The volunteer patients were injected with the dose of 0.1 milliliters and so far, none has developed the disease, but until the first quarter of 2014 will not be the final data.
‘The economic cost of tuberculosis in developed countries is six billion euros and to prevent it makes a more effective vaccine,’ insisted Jelle Thole, director of the European Initiative for TB (TBVI). Besides the European support behind a laboratory, it is also developing Spanish, Biofabri, which, when exceeded all phases wants to ‘produce the vaccine for everyone in Spain’, says spokesman Eugenia Bridges. It is too early to know when to hit the drugstores, but Thole risks: ‘If all goes well, we hope to have in ten years and its cost is very low.’ The crisis is helping the spread of TB as alert Joan Caila, Tuberculosis Group Separ, ‘in a few years, we may see a rise in countries that are faring worse.’Get more information by visiting this site www.reviewlization.com/
